Creating a Master Configuration File

To create a master configuration file:

1. Create a master configuration file by using the 000000000000.cfg file from

the distribution as a template.

For example, create 0004f2be80a6.cfg

2. Add contents to the master configuration file.

For example:

Downloading the New Configuration

To download the new configuration to the phones:

1. To reboot the phones, press the Menu key, and select Settings >

Advanced > Reboot Phone...

When prompted, enter the administrator password and press the Enter

soft key.

The phone will reboot. The following messages will appear on the screen:

— Waiting for network to initialize

— Downloading new application

— Checking new application

— Saving new application

— Checking new application

Warning

The order of the configuration files listed in CONFIG_FILES is significant:

• The files are processed in the order listed (left to right).

• The same parameters may be included in more than one file.

This provides a convenient means of overriding the behavior of one or more phones

without changing the baseline configuration files for an entire system.
